Who I work with
I work with adults, teenagers (12–18) and couples, including expats, international students and families who have recently moved to Türkiye. People often come to talk about:
- Anxiety, constant worry and panic
- Stress and burnout
- Adjusting to life in a new country and feeling far from home
- Relationship and communication difficulties
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Life changes such as a move, a new job or a separation
- School stress and family communication for teenagers
How sessions work
In our first session we talk about what brings you here. You don't need to have everything figured out; we go at your pace. Together we clarify what you would like to change and decide how we will work.
I mainly use a Cognitive Behavioural approach, which helps you notice the thought and behaviour patterns that keep you stuck and build practical skills for everyday life. When it helps, I also take an integrative approach and look at past experiences and relationship patterns to make sense of the present.
In person or online
Our office is at İnfo İncek in Çankaya, Ankara, close to Çayyolu, Ümitköy, Gölbaşı and Beytepe. If you live outside Ankara or abroad, we can meet online; research shows that online sessions based on cognitive behavioural methods can be about as helpful as face-to-face ones for many concerns.1
